BACKGROUND

Moderating the Civil Society Roundtable on Nigeria's Digital Economy

I had the honour of moderating and speaking at the Civil Society Roundtable on the Digital Economy, convened by the Civil Society Groups on Good Governance (CSGGG) at the Army Resource Centre, Abuja.

SOLUTION

The gathering provided an important platform for dialogue on the future of Nigeria's digital economy and the role of collaboration in ensuring that digital transformation drives inclusive growth and sustainable development.

The roundtable brought together a diverse range of stakeholders, including representatives from the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), the Nigerian Army, non-governmental organizations, and civil society organizations. The discussions focused on strengthening multi-stakeholder engagement, promoting digital innovation, and advancing governance frameworks capable of supporting Nigeria's evolving digital landscape.

As moderator and contributor to the conversation, I had the opportunity to facilitate meaningful exchanges and underscore the importance of citizen-centred policies, institutional collaboration, and responsible digital development in building a more inclusive and prosperous society.

Engagements such as these reinforce the importance of dialogue and partnerships in shaping policies and systems that deliver lasting impact for citizens.
